The June work party is always fun because it involves clearing the central and western paths with scythes, shears and even hedge clippers. The weather was delightfully warm but not too hot in the shade of the wood. A group of 8 of us got stuck into the task and co-operated really well to get the work done in good time. Bill and Andy peeled off initially to add a further coat of linseed oil to the boards, then rejoined us later, so all bases were covered. Newcomer Hannah spotted an interesting looking bug, which was identified as a Red-legged Shieldbug. The invading Ring-necked Parakeets were heard once again. A good time had by all and 25 volunteer hours registered.
