There were 7 participants this morning, despite the threat of showers, which thankfully didn’t materialise. Richard kindly led the main group, which walked the western and central paths clearing encroaching and overhanging vegetation. The central path was reasonably clear, following the contractor work a couple of months ago, but recent wet weather meant there was quite a lot to clear on the western path. In addition, the way-marker posts were cleaned. John and Tim carried out a further nest box inspection as part of the British Trust for Ornithology (BTO) Nest Record Scheme. Results of this will be made available when nesting has completed, probably by the middle of June. Finally David and Celsa undertook more spreading of stones on muddy sections of the western and eastern paths. Thanks to everyone.
