Summary

Once again pleasant conditions. The main task was trimming encroaching vegetation from the sides of some of the paths. For this purpose we were pleased to have the loan of 3 scythes from Notts Wildlife Trust, Skylarks, along with support and instruction from Nick Mills. We were able to cover the whole of the main path quite quickly and had time to do the northern half of the western path. Apart from being quick and efficient, scythes prove to be a quiet and environmentally friendly solution to this annual task. Thanks to Nick and to Katie Last of NWT for their support.

In addition, Rod and Phil did a lot of tidying up near the southern end and along the eastern boundary, clearing both vegetation and litter.
