Summary
This work party replaced the December work party, cancelled because of snow. In descent weather we trudged up the hill with about 25 donated whips to plant and the usual tools. The other 75 donated whips had been planted at the November work party. Some of us went down to the south-western corner, planted the whips in boundary gaps and piled up some dead-hedging to protect them. The rest of us went to the north-eastern corner and repaired 3 lengths of path edging that had been ripped up shortly after we installed it in October. This time we used longer stakes and deployed extra stakes in the middle of each length of edging. David also distributed more gravel to muddy sections of paths, and as a result we have now exhausted the supply of gravel purchased early last year.
