Today’s work party missed the worst of the rain and we were pleased to welcome two new recruits, Judi and Paul, making up a party of 10.
One group cleared away the weeds from the 170 whips along the north-eastern boundary. The growth of weeds was pronounced and weeding will likely have to be repeated along with clearing the weeds from the other trial planting areas.
Another group pinned down the path edging along the northern path, which is now almost complete.
We were able to replace the log across the unofficial path at the western steps. The ground was too hard to replenish the earth on the steps nor at the SE corner.
Finally, David was able to erect the CCTV signs at the Peveril and Wheatcroft entrances.
