On this occasion we took a break from path edging and instead deployed posts to help block gaps in the south-west boundary. We used the post driver to install about 24 posts, and inserted some fallen branches to form a dead hedge. In addition, Rod, along with friends Giles and Annie and their three young children, went on an extended litter pick and brought down several bags of rubbish. The weather was beautiful and we enjoyed the constant calling of a Green Woodpecker as well as observing some of the early flora, including Common Blue Violet near where we were working. I caught a glimpse of a Nuthatch on my way back through the wood.
