It was great to welcome 10 fantastic volunteers for our final work party of 2025. The weather was good, once again sheltered from the westerly wind. It was nice to welcome back Andy R, whom we had missed recently. We were also pleased to meet Will’s dad, Chris, who took over from Alice at the half-way point, when we also enjoyed some delicious mince pies supplied by Chrissie.
Basically, we continued where we left off last time, harvesting a few sizeable Sycamores to make decent lengths of path edging and stakes, as well as some smaller young trees for additional stakes. The northern part of the eastern path now has improved path edging, so we can move on to working elsewhere in the New Year. In addition, we shifted a fallen tree partly blocking the eastern path further south. Thanks to all involved.
