9 brave souls ventured up the hill today in near-freezing temperatures, with light snow at the start and heavy mist when we returned. We coppiced some Wych Elm in the north-western section and used suitable timber, along with some Cherry branches already on the ground, to extend path edging northwards from the “bridge”. In addition some brash was added to the dead hedge on the western boundary and, after a lunch break, a few young Sycamore and Norway Maple were pulled or felled in the central section. Thanks to all.
