With two site visits during the last week, volunteers carried out the annual nest box maintenance work. We now have a total of 28 boxes suitable for Blue Tit and Great Tit, and we can inspect these in the spring under licence as part of the British Trust for Ornithology (BTO) Nest Record Scheme. The majority of boxes are in the northern half of the wood, which seems to be favoured by these species.
